the dpkgTerminalLog.txt shows things like:
dbconfig-common: bacula-
dbconfig-common: writing config to /etc/dbconfig-
ERROR 1045 (28000): Access denied for user 'root'@'localhost' (using password: YES).
unable to connect to mysql server.
error encountered creating user:

Do you have an idea on what might have made bacula unable to access mysql ? Perhaps you changed the mysql password or disabled password login for root?
