Use b43 firmware. This is just for the b43legacy driver.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. However with the apt information given, this doesn't seem to be a bug. Why where you removing firmware-b43-lpphy-installer?

In the "binary packages" section in https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/b43-fwcutter/1:013-3 you can see the supported chipsets of each package built from b43-fwcutter. Remove firmware-b43legacy-installer and install the correct package (you may need to reboot your computer).

If you're still experiencing problems, after installing the correct package, please attach to this bug report the log file created by the following commands:
sudo lspci -vvnn > lspci-vvnn.log
apt-cache policy '.*b43.*' > installed_b43_packages.log
