Bug Description
Binary package hint: b43-fwcutter
My Dell Laptop Inspiron 1525 has a Broadcom wireless card and must install firmware using propitiatory Broadcom firmware. Ubuntu will automatically detect this and offer to install additional drivers.(two versions in this case) none of them work . Reason I found is that the Broadcom 4312 wireless card is low power and the both the drivers are for other versions of this chip set.
Way to overcome this is to go to Synaptic package manager and install "firmware for the b43 driver (LP-PHY version)" which will install b43-fwcutter this will install correct firmware and the card will work.
