Bug Description

my Broadcom BCM4312 wireless adapter is not working and `dmesg' recurrently gives the following error message:

[ 94.331523] b43-phy0 ERROR: You must go to http://linuxwireless.org/en/users/Drivers/b43#devicefirmware and download the correct firmware (version 4).

Mine is a BCM94311MCG wlan mini-PCI (as reported by lspci), and Hardy (first beta) starts with this error message :
"b43-phY0 ERROR: firmare file b43/ucode13.fw not found or load failed".
Linux is started, but gdm doesn't.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. However, this bug seems to be a duplicate of bug 197819, where jockey (originally known as restricted-manager) did not ask you about downloading the b43 firmware, and is being marked as such. Feel free to submit any future bugs you may find.
