Bug Description

After running a dist-upgrade on 13.04 to upgrade to 13.10 some error occurred and a dpkg -a was executed

After I restarted the machine the Software updater says everything is fine.

I'm pretty sure a lot of packages didn't install correctly after that.

The error presented itself when the firmware-b43-installer was not downloaded and couldn't be installed, a popup appeared and the installation stopped.

I have a macbook pro early 2011

is there any way to check if the upgrade to Saucy was successful?

if it wasn't successful, how can I upgrade it correctly then?
