With sun jre1.5 azureus not work.
With java-gcj work perfectly.
Use this:
sudo update-alternatives --config java
choose java-gcj
I need azureus work with sun java jre1.5 because I use mercury messenger that only work with sun jre1.5

It looks like the problems with vnc4server is covered by bug 78294. |
The problem is then outside the scope of this bug on Feisty so I am marking it fixed released.
The problem still exists on edgy. |

Ok, I will have to retract my claim that the problem is fixed. I had the (options -> interface -> display -> disable animation/on top style for alert messages) option set so there was now way I would see the problem.
With the package in feisty/universe (2.5.0.0repack1-0ubuntu1), I can reproduce the crash when it attempts to create the sliding window.
With the package in feisty-proposed/universe (2.5.0.0repack1-0ubuntu1.1~proposed1), it does not crash anymore. It does show the warning message below that might have something to do with it:
(SWT:5655): Gtk-WARNING **: gtk_widget_size_allocate(): attempt to allocate widget with width 250 and height -1
I do not think this bug is a duplicate of bug 57875, but I do think the fix for it has made the search for the root cause of this bug simpler. |

Marking Fix Committed on Feisty |
After reading this (https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/HowToTriage), bugs should be marked duplicate if they have the same root cause, even if they have different symptoms.
If azureus doesn't crash after the fix for bug 57875 is committed on a feisty system with the azureus in feisty-proposed and xorg+sun-java5 or xorg+sun-java6, then this bug is a duplicate. Even if they crash at different times (splash screen or sliding alert message).
What I need is for everyone with a feisty system to install the azureus package in the feisty-proposed repository or from this link:
http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/pool/universe/a/azureus/azureus_2.5.0.0repack1-0ubuntu1.1~proposed1_all.deb |
