Does not terminate at end of session

This concerns ayatana-indicator-application 22.2.0-1 in Ubuntu jammy.

When I am logged into an Xfce session, I see this:

The ayatana-indicator-application program is refusing to exit for some reason. If I "kill -INT 1579", then the session finally closes.
