strtod() and atof() cause avr to reset

Bug Description

Binary package hint: gcc-avr

Since updating to hardy heron it looks like the library containing strtod() and atof() changed. When calling these functions on an avr (atmega168 in my case) the board resets instead of returning a result. The same code compiled on gutsy (before I updated) worked.

I have the same problem, I am using Hardy Heron as well although I have not tried the code on gutsy.
