Bug Description

Binary package hint: avidemux

This only happens in Ubuntu karmic. In jaunty and previous, this does not happen. In avidemux 1:2.5.1+repack-0ubuntu1 0, when a Raw AVI video is opened, the upper side shows at the bottom, and vice versa. It only happens when that format is opened. In the video properties it says the codec 4CC used is DIB, with no extra video properties. If saved this way, the result is shown upside down. When trying other formats (FLV, AVI xvid4) the video is fine.

Hello,

The attached file has a sample RAW avi movie and a PNG screenshot of the program when those type of files are loaded. If i add the "Vertical flip" Video filter so the image turns upside-down, the output comes "the right way".

Thank you in advanced. Seasons greetings!

Miguel

I have the same problem as described by Miguel:
I created an uncompressed avi video with Matlab and then wanted to compress it with avidemux. Totem shows the uncompressed video the right way but in when opened with avidemux it is upside down.

I also have this problem and can confirm that it still exists in lucid 10.04.

Seems reproducible with the latest release available in Maverick.

I was excited to find you program but when I opened it up to use for the first time everything is upsidedown. I will not be using this program now. I did not see any option for "Vertical flip."
