unreliable host names

Bug #822335 reported by Hadmut Danisch on 2011-08-07

avahi (Ubuntu)

Bug Description

avahi-daemon should usually announce the hostname on the network as hostname.local., but sometimes after booting it happens that it announces hostname-1.local. or hostname-2.local., which obviously causes trouble because other hosts don't find that particular machine.
