Bug Description

Binary package hint: autofs5-ldap

Configuration of slapd is directory based and ldapadd is not able to add '.schema' files to LDAP configuration tree. To find out the way I can add schema file into LDAP I wasted a lot of time for googleing. I think it is not a very big problem and not a lot of work to add autofs.ldif file to autofs5-ldap package to be able quickly setup LDAP for it without additional googleing for special scripts.

I supplied autofs.ldif file in attachment.

Thanks!

Re-opening this because the info asked for was provided but the auto-close got it.

I'm trying to get automount going on a test server with the provided ldif schema, currently. will report back.

After much hair-pulling (mostly because the documentation is sketchy at best, partly because I'm a LDAP noob), am able to confirm that the posted LDIF works. That said, in the process I found that there are the two alternate schema options for ldap automount trees - one that's apparently NIS based, and one that uses automountKey and automountMapName instead of ou and cn. Is the schema provided indeed the most "up to date" general use schema?
