Just running authtool from the commandline crashes it.

With and without using sudo.

Thanks, this is similar to (but not the same as) bug 94134 as it's trying to fetch debconf values that don't exist when krb5-config isn't installed. I'll try & do a new upload of authtool in the weekend after beta freeze.

The patch did neither arrive in Gutsy nor in Hardy as you can see in #86379. Can you please double check this and try to reupload to Hardy? It would be nice having this one fixed in Hardy. Please also check against samba-dependency.

The bug still exists in Intrepid. No new release of this package has occurred since initial packaging on 7 Feb 2007
