This is linked to a gnulib update in Saucy apparently. We should try to update the gnulib submodule in Augeas and try to build again.

This bug was fixed in the package augeas - 1.1.0-0ubuntu2

  * Build the test-lock and test-thread_create tests with --no-as-needed
    to fix the test failures. LP: #1216917.
  * Configure with --disable-silent-rules.
