Bug Description

During a do-release-upgrade from 20.04 to 22.04.1, the kernel was switched to 5.15.0-1025-oracle.

I believe this is a similar issue to https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/aufs-tools/+bug/1728760

From the dist upgrade's apt.log:
> Installing linux-image-unsigned-5.15.0-1025-oracle as Recommends of aufs-tools

This just happened to me too. I did a 20.04 to 22.04.1 desktop upgrade, and got the -oracle kernel. My version was 5.15.0-1026-oracle.

I was using aufs for /home - which of course broke.

I see in the apt.log:

  Installing linux-image-unsigned-5.15.0-1026-oracle as Recommends of aufs-tools
    MarkInstall linux-image-unsigned-5.15.0-1026-oracle:amd64 < none -> 5.15.0-1026.32 @un uN Ib > FU=0
    Installing linux-modules-5.15.0-1026-oracle as Depends of linux-image-unsigned-5.15.0-1026-oracle
      MarkInstall linux-modules-5.15.0-1026-oracle:amd64 < none -> 5.15.0-1026.32 @un uN > FU=0

I also did not get ubuntu-desktop or netplan.io so it was quite a mess of an in place upgrade.
