This sync review would benefit from deeper investigation, as audacity 1.3.3-1ubuntu1 is working properly with JACK on AMD64 today, so disabling that would be a regression. If there are sufficient features to overcome this regression, I'm not opposed to the sync, but don't feel it wise to sync just because we can due to this issue.

well, that is fine with me. i actually filed this for other people that were requesting it.

However, it should be a merge request, since last patch from Ubuntu is not included in last Debian version.

Please don't process this unless a solution is found for bug #178895. The combination of the new debian revision and the migration to default pulseaudio will render audacity useless for all users of architectures other than i386 and powerpc, which would be a regression from both the Gutsy release and the current state in hardy.
