It's impossible to rename a track
The rename track dialog passes keystrokes through and activate shortcuts.
For example backspace will delete the track that you attend to rename...

Fixed for me by installing audacity 2.1.1 from the PPA as described here:

2.0.6 which comes in ubuntu 15.10 still has this bug. Unusable multitracking when having more than just a few tracks. I wonder why it's not fixed in ubuntu repos?
