It seems the following upgrade went bad.

At least, I can't run audacious recently on Jaunty. The program crashes immediately after start.

this is again due to the crossfade plugin (audacious crashed because of this package about a year ago, so I remembered it ;-)). Deinstalling the hardy package solved this issue. I think that audacious should conflict with audacious-crossfade <= 0.3.14
