Audacious can not open sound device

Bug Description

Audacious can't open sound device both in ALSA and OSS mode.

Ubuntu 7.04 i386 Desktop CD with latest updates, AD1986A sound on ASUS A8N-VM CSM motherboard.

Are you a member of the 'audio' group? If not, do `sudo groupadd -a -G audio yourusername`, and log out and log back in please.

If you are using Gnome, you should try the ESD audio sink instead of ALSA or OSS, as ESD locks the sound device if you are running OSS v3.2 [OSS/Free].

I don't really see how this is a bug in Audacious. It's a misconfiguration at best. Closing.
