Bug Description

Binary package hint: atop

Currently atop configuration is done inside the init script itself. A far better place would be /etc/default/atop and source it from the init script.

Would you guys take patches? Since I guess 'Triaged' means 'Let this one rot until somebody unrelated by accident fixes it' :)

I'd also be very happy to provide a patch for this. It's only a few lines.

My concern is with adjusting the frequency of polling in daemon mode. There's not many other settings of interest for daemon mode.

I agree that /etc/default/atop is the right spot for this.

I'm running 16.04.LTS and I have a /etc/default/atop, so it appears this wish has been granted. I think this bug can be closed.
