Bug Description

$ at now+1minute
at> ls
at> <EOT>

The last line is produced by typing in ctrl-D to end input.

at reports the error:

Cannot give away file: Operation not permitted.

This occurs even if the user trying to run at is root.

Somehow this bug ended up assigned to the wrong project, but I can't see
how to reassign it. Anybody that knows how should probably move it to
the project that contains at.

Reproduced on a fully updated 7.04 system on Nov 3, 2007, again, even for root.

It seemed to be resolved by forcing the removal of "at" and reinstalling the package. I think it was a file permissions problem that happened when the package was upgraded, but I don't know.

This happend to me on a Hardy server hosting vmware server 2.0. Don't know what exactly broke. apt-get remove --purge at && apt-get install ubuntu-standard fixed it.
