How to suppress the message

Affected me too on Ubuntu 14.04 with liferea RSS-reader, after an apport-crash on wakeup from sleep on laptop (macbook pro 17" with external 30" Dell-display connected on sleep and wake-up).

Running export NO_AT_BRIDGE=1 before invoking liferea worked around this condition. Probably rebooting the laptop will fix it too.

Don't know if it is linked or not, so wrting it here in case it helps:
When waking from sleep external monitor is recognized but not waken up. Unplugging and repluging it was enough with Ubuntu 13.10, but not with 14.04 anymore. However unplugging then replugging and then just starting Settings application resolves the issue. (but just starting Settings without unplugging and replugging external monitor is not enough).

I have this issue too. It occured when I ran the command `apport-collect 1353913`, see below:

I started receiving this warning when I installed HPLIP on my computer, and it appears to be preventing me from sending faxes. I also think it caused me to receive the 'hp-uiscan is not supported for this device'.

I know this thread is ancient and marked as fixed, but I just ran into the exact same error message on a recently installed Xubuntu 18.04.4, opening Thunderbird (1:68.8.0+build2-0ubuntu0.18.04.2) after resuming from suspend:

All GTK programs are broken. Same message:

Geany, Leafpad, Gedit and Opera save file dialogs don't allow Russian language input. Qt programs works fine. Launching with sudo fix problem:

This happen after upgrade from 16.04.6 to 18.04.5 . Kernel 5.4.0-42-generic. I have old kernels and can test with it. PC on MSI P67S motherboard, no suspends, just XscreenSaver.

On 18.04, I noticed this warning started occurring after i ran a GTK application - gtimelog - with sudo. Now this warning is printed every time i run the application without sudo. Warning disappears when running as sudo. Seems like some permissions problem. Don't know how to fix it.

Moral of the story : Don't run gui applications with sudo.
