Bug Description
12.04 failed to install properly. I had nothing but generic icons on the otherwise blank desktop - no way to launch a program. I right clicked on the desktop, opened a command window and ran 'sudo dpkg --configure -a'. Then could get boot menu. Started in safe mode, ran dpkg from the menu, and 30 minutes later I had a system. One thing missing - still no window decorations.
The system generated this bug report.
