Bug Description

Binary package hint: asterisk-chan-capi

Environment Description:

Platform: amd64
Kernel: linux-image-2.6.24-17-server
ISDN Adaptor: AVM Fritzcard PCI powered by linux-restricted-modules-2.6.24-17-server

See also Bug #220136

Since the provided asterisk-chan-capi is not usable because of Bug #220136, it's needed to rebuild it (apt-get source --build asterisk-chan-capi). The rebuilt version worked perfectly until the last update to kernel 2.6.24-17-server. After that it crashed on each call:

May 27 15:35:46 tuxpoldo kernel: [ 7131.240958] asterisk[18166]: segfault at ffffffffc4060bc0 rip 7f91cb754dc2 rsp 40071628 error 4
May 27 15:35:46 tuxpoldo kernel: [ 7131.246828] kcapi: appl 3 ncci 0x10101 down

Rebuilding asterisk-chan-capi does not solve the problem.

I solved temporarily the problem by building a new chan_capi with the latest official stable source archive chan_capi-1.1.1.tar.gz. A solution may be to update asterisk-chan-capi to the source level 1.1.1

Thanks Leo for your bug report. As stated in the Debian bug, this is also a consequence of bug #220136. Marking as duplicate.
