9.10 - asoundconf-gtk doesn't work

Bug Description

I tried to install asoundconf-gtk as described on this page for Jaunty (although they mistyped it as asound-gtk):

https://wiki.ubuntu.com/PulseAudio

It installs fine with apt-get, but after that running the applet (which has no icon?) from the preferences doesn't spawn a window. Running it manually on the command line gives:

sh: /usr/bin/asoundconf: not found
You need to make sure asoundconf is active!
By default, asoundconf's configuration file is ~/.asoundrc.asoundconf
and must be included in ~/.asoundrc. Open this file to make sure it is!

Looks like it doesn't set up it's own configuration when installed...

Note newer releases removed asoundconf from alsa-utils also. Fixed in this ppa:
