Bug Description
Binary package hint: asoundconf-gtk
When I try to start asoundconf-gtk, the program says:
You need to make sure asoundconf is active!
By default, asoundconf's configuration file is ~/.asoundrc.
and must be included in ~/.asoundrc. Open this file to make sure it is!
Description: Ubuntu 9.10
asoundconf-gtk:
Installed: 1.6-0ubuntu1
500 http://
The asoundconf package is not available anymore in Karmic if I see well.

This is not a duplicate. The removal of asoundconf was done on purpose, but asoundconf-gtk is still in the repository as of 11.04 and is now a completely useless program since it needs asoundconf to run. Either asoundconf should be re-added or asoundconf-gtk should be removed too.
