Dispwin: Error - We don't have access to the VideoLUT for loading

I've reported issue in argyll mailing list [1], and I was informed that this could be problem with NVIDIA drivers and might fixed with argyll 1.9 version.

Now the question is for maintainers, is it possible that this fix will be backported to 16.04 LTS?

I haven't actually tried 1.9 beta yet though, as it's my friend's computer I don't have immediate access to it. I'll report then this happens.

Why does everyone seem to say it's an nVidia problem? I have this with a Radeon card, seems to have been broken by one of the newer Linux Kernel releases.
