when i type sudo aptitude-gtk i get this:

Confirmed. This appears to be a symptom of bigger problem: none of the GUI menu items work!

* Open aptitude-gtk
* Click File->Quit

== Expected outcome ==
* aptitude-gtk closes

== Actual outcome ==
* Nothing happens!

This is still a problem in Ubuntu 11.04.

aptitude-gtk seems to have been removed from Ubuntu and Debian around 2012.
Marking as "Invalid" to close as report is specific to gtk version of aptitude
