Bug Description
1. ubuntu-desktop installed initialy on the system
2. sudo aptitude install edubuntu-desktop . It changes the initial splash screen (which shows the status of loading modules, etc.)
3. After removing edubuntu (sudo aptitude remove edubuntu-desktop), edubuntu logo is still displayed in the splash screen.
Corect behaviour: it should revert to ubuntu logo.

Don't forget that usplash-artwork.so is also in the initramfs. Does
uninstalling ubuntu-artwork trigger a rebuild of the initramfs?

(Removing ubuntu-artwork does not trigger a rebuild of the initramfs.)

Thank you for your bug report, however;
* Marking as invalid in aptitude, aptitude technically does exactly what it is supposed to do.
* Marking as wontfix in edubuntu-desktop, removing a meta-package should not remove all its dependencies.
To remove artwork after installation, the best way to do so is to remove the relevant artwork packages (edubuntu-artwork, edubuntu-

thats expected, the usplash graphics are in {edu,ku, u}buntu- artwork- usplash which is a dependency of edubuntu-artwork (which in turn is a dependency of edubuntu-desktop)
apparently aptitude didnt remove all dependencys, thats not a bug in edubuntu-meta, but rather one in aptitude
