Bug Description
Installing on a IBM ThinkPad a21m, P3-800, 192mb 30gig.
pxe net boot the install, no preseed file, use breezy CD on lan/apache as the
mirror. (I think this has been going well, but I have been doing preseeded
installs for the last few months, this is the first interactive because I didn't
want to destroy the NTFS partition.)
It has XP/ntfs, which was resized to 18gig.
screen shows: "Installing packages" "Preparing for installation" progress bar
at "85%" and stopped.
hit alt-f3, log in, df shows 0 free.
ls -l base-config-
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 9004683264 2005-10-19 08:08 base-config-
tail base-config-
Should I go ahead and install the packages anyway?
To continue, enter "Yes"; to abort, enter "No": Unrecognized input. Enter
either "Yes" or "No".
(repeat)
digging around in base-config-
"Warning: untrusted versions of the following... language-
language-pack-en"
and then the looping "Should I go ahead ..."
I'll try again using us.ubuntu.com as the mirror.
I'm sure this must be an apt bug. It shouldn't loop forever if it can't get an
answer.
If redirecting stdin from /dev/null would help, let me know.
