Bug Description
There is category “Obsolete and Locally Created Packages” in aptitude. But the information which package replaces an obsolete one is missing.

Either the according package lists its successor(s) in the Depends field (then it's usually called "transitional package") or there is no (direct) successor at all. That can also happen.
Aptitude doesn't know more than the package (list) tells it.
Or do you have a different idea how Aptitude should list successor packages?
