stalled actions

Hello. I use aptitude to manage the packages on my Ubuntu 14.04 (temporary system before installing 14.10). The problem is that due some actions, like by example packet removal (purge), the action get stalled and aptitude stops to response. The only thing I can do is close the tab with aptitide and re-open it. Unfortunatelly, when I try to resume the action, aptitude stalls and stop to response again
