There seems to be a programming error in aptdaemon, the software that allows you to install/remove software and to perform other package management related tasks. Please report this error at http://launchpad.net/aptdaemon/+filebug and retry.

I managed to get this to install on an Intel PC Could the no t be installing because it is not for an AMD processor.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. This bug did not have a package associated with it, which is important for ensuring that it gets looked at by the proper developers. You can learn more about finding the right package at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/FindRightPackage . I have classified this bug as a bug in aptdaemon. I don't know why the file wouldn't be accessible, but aptdaemon shouldn't crash in any case.

You have to copy the file to another location. The root user is not allowed to access the fuse file systems. This is fixed nowadays
