Bug Description
I've only done 2 amd64 system upgrades to 12.04 but on both I've found that after the upgrade the sources are pulled for both the amd64 architecture as well as the i386 architecture whic leads to various problems. On a test machine I'm running in the the "Dynamic MMap ran out of room" error. I do not need any i386 packages on my amd64 systems. There should be an option to disable this new behavior but I have yet to find it.
Here is apt-get update (can't connect to security.ubuntu.com but I'm guessing that's unrelated):
# apt-get update

Apparently this was introduced in 11.10 but I didn't notice because I skipped 11.10 entirely.
