I was probably doing it wrong, but this all I got:

(gdb) run
Starting program: /usr/bin/apt-cache

Program received signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault.
0x40239c02 in __vsnprintf_chk () from /lib/arm-linux-gnueabi/libc.so.6
