Bug Description
When installing dapper from the current nightly CDs, the installation will hang on configuring apt.
I have eth0 connected to another computer, via a crossover cable, the other computer connects through mine. I conncet to the internet via a speedtouch 330 ADSL modem, which is not active during the installation.
However, I assume that the installation is attempting to connect through eth0 and for some reason, is not timing out when configuring apt or looking for security updates. It sits for a long time on one stage of configuring apt, and then hangs on "100%" after telling me it cannont connect to the security repository.

The 'linux (upstream)' addition here was a mistake, but I can't figure out how to remove it.
Was trying to add something that indicated this was an install issue.
