This has nothing to do with firefox, changed to apt it may be the repos itself but not sure of the package.

hello John;
   i did not intend on blameing firefox, if i did it was unintentional.
i used a apt-get fix and watched some stuff get installed from the terminal, but i still cant do-it-myself from the add/remove pull down.
   the error message keeps calling it a hash sum mismatch. i am sorry i cant give more pertenant info as i am only a few weeks into useing ubuntu or linux for that matter.
                        thanks and any more direction would be appreciated
