Bug Description
When apt-get is downloading packages from the repository, it reports its progress in a very strange way: as bytes complete out of kB total (e. g. 1024/77kB total). Surely it'd be better for it to report them in the same unit instead of different denominations? It'd be akin to reporting that you've run 28,000 metres of a 50-kilometre race.
It's only a minor oversight, I think, but it's nonetheless irritating.
