Bug Description

Binary package hint: apt

just today i try to remove few packages and see that aptitude and also apt-get fail to remove what i want to remove:

The following packages are unused and will be REMOVED:
  eog gedit gedit-common libgnomevfs2-bin
The following packages will be REMOVED:

0 packages upgraded, 0 newly installed, 5 to remove and 0 not upgraded.

Do you want to continue? [Y/n/?]

after aptitude completed, i startx and still enter into gnome session.
a lot of gnome-core stuffs still there.
(it was installed from server cd and only gnome-core was installed. not the whole gnome)

same thing with xfce4:

The following packages are unused and will be REMOVED:
