dselect update deletes local Packages.gz

Bug Description

Binary package hint: dselect

in gutsy when I run deselect update it deletes Packages.gz in my local debian repository. This behaviour started on the upgrade to gutsy

What dselect access method are you using ?

apt. It is possible it is setup wrong but has worked with all previous versions (fiesty, edgy, ...).

/etc/apt/sources.list.d/local.list
deb file:/usr/local/src/deb ./

it should be noted that when you run apt on the command line it does not do this, just when you run dselect / update with thte method apt.
