distribution updgrade to 7.04 via update manager fails

Binary package hint: apt

after the information comes about the upgrade to 7.04 I just run the update manager and as I'm get back after some hours an error massage was opened (Problem report for apt).
And this file (/var/crash/_usr_lib_apt_methods_http.0.crash) was created holding this messages:

The idea I had in betweeen was that this error might be caused by a timeout of the internet connection ?

The logs look like the upgrade is not finished? Did you attach them whilte it was still runing? Or did it not complete successfully? Could you also attach the crash file as a file please? This crash is either a bug in apt or it might be bad ram in your machine (so far I haven't had any reports about sha256 checksum failures). Does a memtest86 runs successfully?

Yes, the files was sent during the upgrade process, so I've attached the latest ones including also the files from /var/crash.
So finally the upgrade is done and seems to work fine so far ;)

And maybe your assumption about bad ram might be correct since memtest86 runs sometimes without error, but sometimes it report an error at the same adress, but different test ...
