Bug Description
Binary package hint: apt-xapian-index
I executed sudo apt-get install apt-xapian-index
Nothing wrong happened.
The quick search works after installing the package, so the only bad thing is the apport's crash message.

This showed up on the current 10.10 daily iso from about July 20. I did a wholesale update to the current (July 24, 2010) repositories with emacs and several text formatting tools added - a total of about 150 packages added and updated. Afterwards the touchpad no longer worked (for about 30 minutes) but the mouse-stick did work, and I got this and two other apport failures.
