Bug Description

After upgrading from 17.04 to 17.10 a dialog for updating apt-file poped, when clicking 'run this action now' it create a terminal window with "There was an error creating the child process for this terminal. Failed to execute child process "/usr/share/apt-file/do-apt-file-update" (No such file or directory)

I have upgrade xubuntu 17.04 64 bit to xubuntu 17.10 64 bit and I have the same bug

configuration :
xubuntu 17.10 64 bit
uname -r
4.13.0-16-lowlatency
apt-cache policy "apt-file"
apt-file:
  Installé : 3.1.4
  Candidat : 3.1.4
 Table de version :
 *** 3.1.4 500
        500 http://ch.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu artful/universe amd64 Packages
        500 http://ch.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu artful/universe i386 Packages
        100 /var/lib/dpkg/status

Could you help me please to fixe this bug ?

Hello,

I have run the command

apt-file update

and I have restart

and the message not show again.

to solve this bug should the system run command apt-file update and not /usr/sheare/apt-file/do-aot-file.update ?

I've just upgraded to Ubuntu 18.04 "bionic" and this problem is still present (just for the record, I know this bug is still open, there's no surprise)
