$ ls -ld /var/cache/
drwxr-xr-x 1 apt-cacher-ng apt-cacher-ng 12 Jan 27 11:22 /var/cache/
drwxr-xr-x 1 apt-cacher-ng apt-cacher-ng 18 Mai 2 2020 /var/cache/
this is on a jammy host. de2.ubuntu.com should have been treated as a part of the Ubuntu mirror network and included in uburep.
