It pops up this message everytime I want to install something using apt-get install. What tot do? I am working on Ubuntu10.10. THX for help

Thanks for the bug report.

It should be named apt-build.list to be considered by apt (you may want to rename it manually).

The package ships /etc/apt/sources.list.d/apt-build - but it should be /etc/apt/sources.list.d/apt-build.list. This bug needs to get fixed in the package.

I have just submitted a patch to the Debian bug, which would remove the obsolete conffile.

Please verify that this file is empty for you, and that there is a apt-build.list file already, in case you've said to install the repository to your sources.list.

   I have a empty apt-build file and an apt-build.list file. I am getting the same error. What should I do to fix this?

This bug is fixed in version 0.12.38 (11.10 and higher).
