Report a bug with firefox closed doesn't work

Repro:

- close firefox
- System -> Report a problem
- The "uploading problem information" window appears but nothing more...

"System -> Report a problem" should open firefox if closed.

I did not change anything I can remember related with my default browser. This is the first time I have this problem with Feisty. I think from the last update.

If you are referring to the "Preferred Applications", I have Firefox as default Web Browser...

This looks fine. If you call 'ubuntu-bug' from a terminal, do you see any output? Can you please copy&paste it here?

I also tried it, it does not work. Using apport 0.73 . Mozilla firefox 2.0.0.3+1-0ubuntu2

        Steps to reproduce :-

 1. Make sure Firefox is closed
 2. Go to System > Preferences > Hardware Information
 3. Click on Ubuntu Device Database
 4. Let it do all the tests, at the last it will try to upload the results of the database.
 5. Eventually the hardware database client will crash
 6. Apport will say if you want to submit the crash
 7. Apport submits the crash data from /var/crash & exits silently

  Putting 'ubuntu-bug' without the enclosed quotes gives Error: Failed to send command: 500 command not parseable

and that error is reproducible each time.

Although I have put in my preferred applications Open Link in New tab for firefox. Firefox is my preferred browser.
