Modifying line 75 of /usr/share/apport/apport-gtk from

n = GLib.markup_escape_text(n, -1).decode('UTF-8')

to

n = GLib.markup_escape_text(n).decode('UTF-8')

fixes the problem for me.

@dino99: That's a problem with apport-retracing-service (#764414) which likes to assign public bugs as duplicates of private ones (oh the stupididty...)

I've un-dupped this one, as it contains additional information; thanks pressureman for tracking this down.

I can confirm that pressureman's 'Line 75' fix (#4 above) works on my machine; apport is bringing up Firefox to report bugs again.
