Apparently in the intervening 9 years nobody bothered to check. It took me 90 seconds to verify this behaviour is still present in apport 2.20.9-0ubuntu7.14

I'm so sorry this issue went unanswered for so long. The backlog we've accrued here is truly unfortunate. We'd really like to see the situation improve, but with hundreds of open bugs, manually testing has become virtually impossible. The aim 2 months ago was to ping neglected bugs such as these and allow those still effected to put their bug back on the radar again.

Thank you for confirming that this is still an issue, Alex. I appreciate your time.

Sorry, I didn't mean to come off so rude. Anyway, I looked into things and it's not fixable because `apport-bug -w` actually uses xprops which will return on any mouse press.

Ah ok, that’s really helpful Alex. I think let’s close this as wontfix then as you suggested. Thanks for looking into this!
