Binary package hint: apport

it is very hard to run apport-collect with an ascii browser
as launchpad will only show you a cancel button

Even changing the standard browser from firefox to chromium still opens links (or elinks?).
It seems that logging in to launchpad doesnt work in links!?
Could this bug be associated with #868737 ?

A temporary solution is to uninstall links before using apport-collect. Then it opens it in my default browser.

This release of Ubuntu is no longer receiving maintenance updates. If this is still an issue on a maintained version of Ubuntu please let us know.
