Bug Description

Binary package hint: apport

I am getting this output:

az@acompneu 256 (~) %ubuntu-bug apport
: Fatal IO error: client killed
az@acompneu 257 (~) %

What is this Fatal error about? If it is not an error, it should not show it (i.e. that is the bug). If there is an error, it should be fixed.

Ubuntu-bug has numerous issues. This is one of them. Tends to appear when firefox is the default browser.
But to have a buggy bug reporting tool is something that should be avoided.

This bug is still present in Ubuntu 13.04 so I'm reopening it. I can reproduce it on a fresh installation with a simple "ubuntu-bug apport" then clicking send. The bug is still reported correctly, but this error shows up in the terminal.
