Bug Description

Binary package hint: apport-kde

If I run ubuntu-bug, then select "other problem" then it offers me a list of sound problems to choose from. If I choose "Sound / Audio related problems" then it says "You need to specify a package or a PID". Also, if i choose cancel, it just hangs, and won't exit without being killed from command line (SIGTERM is enough though).

Still present in Precise beta, apport 2.0-0ubuntu4.

For reporting bug #976325 for example, I was choosing item four out of this very first list after starting ubuntu-bug:

* Other problem
* Sound/audio related problems
* Security related problems
* External or internal storage devices (e. g. USB sticks) <--
* Display (X.org)

Next screen was:

"What hardware are you having a problem with?" <---
* It's not listed here
* Mic, Internal
*....many items
* Green Headphone Out, Right

Next one:
"What particular problem do you observe?"
* None of the above [sic!] <--
* ...again many items
* No sound at all

After that it checks for audio problems, playing test sounds, and finally launching a browser to report non-working audio...
